Social media marketing has many pros and cons.
And you’re probably standing on the border where you’re deciding whether or not to invest in it.
What should you do?
Well, that’s exactly what I’m going to show you today. Let’s hop in…
Social Media Marketing Pros

I am excited about this part as there are many social media marketing pros that I want to share with you.
Why? Well, if you are reading this, chances are that you came from one of my social media marketing channels.
It is incredibly powerful to use it.
However, I am not going to tease you, and let’s take a look at each of the pros and cons separately.
1. Organic Reach
This is probably the biggest pro of social media marketing that exists. Social media marketing has a massive organic reach.
That means you can acquire a ton of new customers without paying a dime.
Many platforms are really well on it with organic reach. My favorites are Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and Twitter.
By the way, before you email me that you are on Facebook and your content is not reaching anybody…I understand. Facebook is the only platform where organic reach is DEAD!
Otherwise, every other platform has it and the ones I mentioned are booming now.
2. Low Cost
If you have no time, and doing social media marketing the organic way is hard for you, I have good news!
You don’t have to grind it out the organic way, because there is the paid way as well.
And advertising on social media platforms like Instagram is super cheap.
Also, you can pay for sponsored posts, or even hire a social media manager to grow your page the organic way and you’ll spend no time on it.
In short, social media marketing is heaven for entrepreneurs.
3. Trust
Trust is one of the most important things.
Whenever you try to convince somebody to hit the “buy” bottom, the difference between a sale and somebody running away is TRUST.
Social media marketing is a fantastic way to build it!
You share personal stuff about yourself on social media, you connect with your followers, and you engage with them.
And building this kind of relationship can result in one thing only – trust.
It is a crucial thing to remember when starting with social media marketing and knowing that this “pro” alone is going to probably outweigh all of the “cons.”
4. Traffic
This is probably the “pro” of the social media marketing that made you the most excited about starting marketing here.
Everybody who has a sales funnel, blog, or website wants one thing only – MORE TRAFFIC!
And chances are that you are not an exception.
That’s why I have good news for you – you are going to get that traffic. In fact, you will get such a flood of traffic you won’t handle it.
All you have to do is to build an audience full of loyal fans by creating the most stunning content the social media platform you are marketing on has ever seen.
5. No Barrier To Entry
This is probably one of the most important reasons why startups and freelancers come on social media. There is no barrier to entry.
You don’t need to have a penny to use social media and get new customers.
All you need is to do the work required…and it is not that crazy (unless you are a die-hard) like me.
Social Media Marketing Cons
Now, many things might have kept you from doing social media marketing, and as with any other thing, there are some cons to social media marketing.
And you have two options.
The first is to handle them and claim all of the awards waiting for you – because you will succeed beyond limits.
Or there is the second one and that is to quit. If you are a quitter you can stop reading this blog post now, because you will never succeed.
But if you’re not, let’s take a look at all of the cons that you will have to handle.
1. Consistency
Consistency is the con that is probably the hardest for people to handle.
If you want to be successful on any social media platform, you gotta do one thing – and that is to show up every single day.
If you are not willing to show up, you are going to fail 100%.
There is no question about it.
So, when you start doing social media marketing you better be willing to put in the work, or you are going to fail.
2. Content Creation
Creating content consistently that is of the highest quality, is the thing that most of the newbies doing social media marketing struggle with.
And it happens for a reason…
When you’re creating content yourself, you have to spend a lot of time doing it.
So, if you are a busy entrepreneur who has no time for this, you can handle this task by hiring a social media manager or by making time on your schedule and batch content for every month.
Otherwise, you are not going to be successful.
3. Daily Engagement
This is the last con that I am going to share with you. Why is this a con? Because you will have to comment on other’s posts to get engagement back and grow.
If your posts get no engagement you are not going to grow and that way you will fail.
If you can’t do it by yourself, again, a social media manager might do it for you. So, hire them to save the time you need.
