How To Use Social Media As A Marketing Strategy

There are many ways to use social media. You chat with your friends, like their photos, or you can use it as a marketing strategy.

Instead of being like everybody else, you can use social media to grow your company and acquire a ton of new customers without paying a dime.

But how to do that?

Well, let me show you a killer social media marketing strategy that will make it all possible.

Let’s take a look at it.

1. Niche Down

Niched audience

As Dan Kennedy said, “Niches bring riches.” and on social media, it is exactly the same.

Why? Because if you want to become successful and stand out in the market, you gotta get out of all red oceans that are full of sharks (your competitors) feeding on the few customers left there…

…and create your own ocean full of fish nobody has ever touched.

Here is a simple technique for finding your niche.

First, you need to know your market and submarket.

Are you doing marketing?

If so, is it email marketing or social media marketing or anything else?

Second, you have to go and make your little spot in the submarket.

That means, if you are doing social media marketing, you need to do something like this:

Social media marketing – social media marketing for entrepreneurs – social media marketing for woman business owners – social media marketing for woman travel agency owners – social media marketing for woman travel agency owners using sales funnels.

Boom! That is your niche!

Do you see how simple it is?

However, niching down this way can totally transform your business.

You can get a ton of new customers that will never buy from your competitors because you are the ONLY person in your niche.

It is the way to stand out in the crowded market and it works!

So, never forget to niche down or your social media marketing strategy is busted.

2. Study Your Audience

Every good marketing strategy starts with knowing your audience. And social media marketing is no different.

If you want to use social media as another source of leads, traffic, and sales – you better know who you are talking to.

And you need to know them better than they know themselves.

But how are you going to study your target audience? There are many ways to do that.

Here are some of them:

  • Create polls
  • Ask questions
  • Survey people on your website
  • Create quizzes
  • Spy on your competitor’s polls, surveys, and studies
  • Check insights
  • Go through the data in Google Analytics

A lot of ways to get data, right? Well, you want to use it to answer these questions…

  1. What are they dreaming about?
  2. What are their biggest challenges?
  3. What keeps them up at night?
  4. What do they secretly, ardently desire?
  5. What are their top three daily frustrations?
  6. What do they love?
  7. What are they angry about?
  8. What do they hate?
  9. Do they have a built-in bias? (For example, engineers = exceptionally analytical.)
  10. What is the thing they can’t live without?

Once you answer all of these questions in detail you will be able to create relevant content that will attract your target audience…

…but most importantly, you will grow your following and make a lot of sales.

Without relevancy, you are going to fail on social media no matter what you do.

3. Create Stunning Content

Next, you need to build a solid content strategy.

There are two main questions that you need to answer:

  1. How much am I going to post?
  2. What type of content am I going to post and how am I going to create it?

Well, the first question is pretty easy to answer. If you want to create a successful social media marketing strategy you should post at least once per day.

You can modify it based on your time and needs, but once per day should be the minimum goal that you should have.

Every social media platform has a different kind of content it prioritizes.

TikTok wants short videos, Instagram wants photos (and short videos as well), Facebook is fine with everything, Twitter prioritizes short text messages…

…and on and on.

You need to study the platforms, find people who are already successful on the platform that you want to use, and then simply model what they do with their content.

It is the simplest way to become successful.

4. Engagement Strategy

The right engagement strategy is the key to success. If you are not willing to engage with your audience every single day, chances are that your social media marketing strategy is not going to be effective and you will fail.

It is called social media for a reason. You MUST be social.

You have to build relationships with your followers. Otherwise, they will not engage with your content and you won’t grow.

And yes, it doesn’t matter what social media platform you are on.

Try making at least 50 comments per day and replying to every comment that you get on your own content.

5. Sales Funnel

Now, this is probably the most important step of all.

Getting traffic from social media is one thing, but converting that traffic into customers is another.

But building a sales funnel is not easy. It consists of many steps and each funnel is different. But basically, it follows a simple structure…

First, you need to warm up the traffic and make them interested in your product or service. You can do that through email, blog, social media, etc.

Second, you need to build a desire for the product and make them buy. This is done through a sales copy.

Third, you want to move them up to your value ladder and sell them a more expensive offer.

This can be done through every channel and then you repeat the structure.

Of course, there is more stuff to it, and that is why I want to show you something…
