Unless you know who your dream customer is, then you are never going to be able to appeal to them and do online marketing in a way that is going to make them become your REAL customers.

So, how are you going to define who your dream customer is?

Well, you need to build your dream customer avatar.

The way you are going to build your dream customer avatar is pretty simple. All you have to do is to take a sheet of paper draw out a stickman and write down all of the things your dream customer has and does.

Once you have it, everything in your online marketing is going to be centered around this thing. Got it?

And it’s really important that you dive in-depth into creating the dream customer avatar. go through its backstory, write down their daily routine, name it, etc.

The more detailed it is going to be, the more effective your online marketing is going to be, the more you’ll make sales, and the more you’ll grow.

Create A Sales Funnel

Sales funnel is a revolutionary way to sell online. With a sales funnel you’re going to be able to easily convert even the coldest people into leads and followers.

But what is a sales funnel and how does it work in online marketing?

A sales funnel is a series of pages that are going to take the person through a certain experience, and that are going to allow you to make people take whatever action you want and also UPSELL your dream customers to double or even triple the revenue you make.

When you’re building a sales funnel for your online marketing, you need to follow these steps.

  • Determine A Traffic Temperature
  • Pre-Frame Bridge
  • Qualify Subscribers
  • Qualify Customers
  • Upsells
  • Follow-Up

Let’s have a quick look at all of these steps and why they matter so much.

The first extremely important thing you need to do is to determine the temperature of the traffic that you are going to drive to the sales funnel.

There are only 3 types of traffic. The first type is cold traffic, the second type is warm traffic, and the third type is hot traffic.

These temperatures are divided based on how problem-aware and product-interested people are.

Cold traffic are people who don’t even know they have a problem that your product or service solves.

Warm traffic knows they have a problem that keeps them from reaching a goal and are actively looking for a solution.

Hot traffic is aware of you and your brand, needs to solve the problem now, knows what is the solution, and knows that your product or service will deliver it.

Based on each of these types the sales funnel is going to look a bit differently.

Next, we have a pre-frame bridge. A pre-frame bridge is something used to warm up the traffic and make it problem and solution aware, so that it is going to be way easier for you to sell your product and service.

It can be an email, an article, a video, a social media post…

The colder the traffic the bigger the pre-frame bridge has to be.

Next, you want to qualify subscribers.

Here, it is time for your dream customers to make their first commitment. Here they are going to decide whether or not they are willing to give you their contact information in exchange of a lead magnet (a freebie).

This is important because one commitment leads to more commitments and they are more likely going to buy in the next step of the sales funnel, however, most importantly it is going to give you the ability to follow up.

Here you are going to create something like a lead-squeeze (opt-in) page or a webinar registration page if you are building a webinar funnel.

Next, it is time to qualify customers.

This is often done through a sales page but it can also be done through a combination of a webinar and order page or video sales letter page.

Above you can see an example of one of these.

Copywriting is going to be absolutely essential here. That is because if you can’t write the right words that are going to persuade your dream customers to take action, nobody is going to take it.

However, this is not the only blog where you can learn about copywriting. There is a ton of them online as well like AWAI.

But there is one thing I can assure you of. Unless you know copywriting nothing in your online marketing strategy is going to work. So, learn it as a beginner to get things right early.

The next part of the sales funnel are upsell pages.

And these tiny pages can INSTANTLY double or even triple your revenue. That is because when somebody buys your product or service, they are going to be redirected to these upsells and you are going to get results.

All they consist of is a headline, a video sales letter, and a button with a call to action.

And after they go through the upsells (whether they buy or not) you also want to show them a thank you page and FOLLOW UP.

Following up is where the real money is. It’s going to allow you to sell other products and services, build loyalty and get the best results.

Send out at least one email a day to your email list. And of course, you will need the right email service provider like Moosend to do that.

Leverage Social Media

Not leveraging social media is probably one of the biggest mistakes people make.

That is because social media is an incredible source of traffic and sales for your business. And when you leverage it the right way, it is also going to help you build crazy customer loyalty and help you absolutely dominate the industry that you are in.

However, depending on the platform there always needs to be a different approach with which you are going to share content and get more exposure.

You definitely need to start leveraging it and gain if you want, on my blog there are dozens of different articles that will let you use it to grow your business online.

And now, let’s move on to another extremely important thing that you must do if you want to get results as a beginner with online marketing.

Advertising

Not everybody has the time necessary to spend on growing everything and getting traffic organically.

And that is why 98% of businesses mainly do online marketing using advertising.

When it comes to advertising there are many places you can do it online. You can do it on Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, on Google…and the rest of the Internet.

However, the first thing that is absolutely essential to remember is that you shouldn’t be just on one platform (especially when you rely on ads).

That is simply because advertising costs always change across all the platforms and your ads can someday, somewhere instantly become unprofitable and you’ll lose money just because the cost has gone up.

However, when you advertise across many platforms, if you have to take down your ads on a place, the traffic is still going to be coming to your sales funnel because your ads are running someplace else as well.

That means you won’t have all your eggs in one nest.

Also, it is going to help you reach more broad audience of your dream customers and in the end generate more sales.

Keep in mind that every successful (image) ad that you are going to create has 3 main things:

  • Offer
  • Call To Action
  • Domain Name/Logo

When you create a video ad there can be more things included also if you have a chance to write a caption you can include more things. When it comes to the image, these 3 things are absolutely crucial.
