Social media marketing is strongly based on building a loyal following unless you’re just running ads, and that’s why every business needs to build a strong social media brand.
The stronger the brand you have, the easier it is going to be for you to get new customers as you’ll build stronger relationships and trust with your audience.
And that’s why in today’s blog post, I am going to show you exactly how to build a strong social media brand.
So, are you ready to begin? If so, let’s dive in…
Why Is It Important To Build A Strong Brand On Social Media?
There are many reasons for that, but the most important is LOYALTY and TRUST. Of course, the stronger the brand, the higher the prices you can charge, the easier it will be for you to differentiate yourself, etc.
But on social media, trust and loyalty are the two main reasons you have to work on it.
When you win your audience’s trust, it will be way easier for you to make sales. Getting likes, comments, saves, and shares is easy. Everything else requires trust.
And if you don’t have it, you’re going to struggle.
And the strategies that I am going to show you today will help you build it.
The next thing is loyalty.
It’s awesome to build a following or get a customer. But building a loyal following and loyal customer is the next level of the game.
This means that your followers are willing to turn down better deals just to do business with you…because they love your brand.
That’s why people buy Gucci T-shirts for hundreds of dollars even though they can get 100 similar T-shirts from China at the same price.
It’s the brand, and people are loyal to it.
And with the strategies that I am going to show you in this blog post, you’re going to build customer loyalty as well.
So, let’s hop right into it.
Find Your Branded Style
This is really important regardless of the social media platform that you are trying to build a strong social media brand on.
Your branded style mainly equals your brand voice, positioning, and values.
How are you going to create all of these things and build a strong social media brand that will generate new long-term customers for you?
Brand voice is the distinct personality a brand takes on in its communications. In other words, it is the way you share your message.
Every brand has its own unique voice and you want to find yours. You need to tell your message in a distinct, unique way that when people hear will instantly scream, “THIS IS____!”
Ask yourself, who is your brand online? If your brand was a person, what personality traits would they take on and what would they actively avoid? What phrases and stylistic choices does your brand use on a consistent basis?
All of the answers will translate into how your brand voice is going to look like. And once you nail it, it is going to help you build a strong social media brand regardless of what platform you are on or what your industry is.
This is a big one, especially if you are selling something more expensive and you are trying to position yourself as a premium brand.
You must determine how you want your brand to be perceived online.
If you want to be a luxurious brand, it is going to reflect in what kind of content you share and everything you do.
If you want to be a premium supplement brand, it is going to reflect in what kind of content you share and everything you do.
Depending on how you want your brand to be perceived, you’re going to create content and tell your message. It’s the key.
What does your brand stand for? What are the non-negotiables that your brand has? What is your brand fighting against? All of these questions are going to determine your brand’s values.
And once you’re going to start including these values in your content, it is going to help you build a movement and earn the loyalty of your audience.
Nobody is more desirable to follow and be loyal to a brand that shares similar values to yours or a brand that MAKES you believe in their values.
All of these 3 things are going to be a key part of your strategy to build a strong social media brand. So take the time to figure these things out before you move on.
Don’t Be Afraid To Go Behind-The-Scenes
Going behind-the-scenes is one of the most powerful things that you want to do. If you are going to how it looks like behind the scenes, they will relate to you and build a stronger relationship with you.
If you are a personal brand, then it is a good idea to share some stuff about your personal life and become vulnerable.
Because the more vulnerable you are, the more people can relate to you.
Another thing that you need to do is to tell your story. The more often you’re going to tell your story, the more likely you’re going to be successful and get more sales.
It’s all about making people RELATE to your brand. The stronger the emotional connection is going to be between you and them, the more they will trust you and the more loyal they are going to be.
And if you want to build a strong social media brand, that’s the key. So, don’t be afraid to go behind the scenes. It is going to help you.
Involve And Engage With The Audience
Another really important part of building a strong social media brand is to consistently engage with and involve the audience.
When somebody comments on your posts, you want to reply to that comment. When somebody messages you, you for sure want to reply to that message.
Engaging with the audience is going to show that you CARE as a brand. And brands that care are the ones with the most loyal following.
Another thing that builds loyalty like crazy is actually involving people in some of the actions your brand takes.
Create polls on what kind of content they would like to see.
If you’re making some sort of a business decision and there are two options left on the table and you can’t decide, ask the audience to do so.
Or involve them in not so important things like what color of a carpet you should put into our office and give them a choice of 3 colors you’d love to add. And on and on.
This simple involvement helps build a MASSIVE loyalty.
The more you are going to do it, the stronger social media brand you are going to build.
