3 Instagram Content Tips For More Sales

Everybody is creating content on their Instagram for one reason, right? More sales. But only a few people actually make them.

And because you don’t want to be one of those who don’t, today I’m going to share with you 3 Instagram content tips for more sales. Are you ready to see them?

1. Follow The 80/20 Rule

This is one of the best Instagram content formulas that you can follow to get as many customers as you can without pissing your followers off by the promotional posts that you make.

It works like this: 80% of content = value 20% of content = promotion

You don’t want to violate it, ever.

Otherwise, instead of making more sales as you would expect, you will make fewer sales plus a ton of your followers will start to leave your page because they are not going to be able to stand all the pressure from how much you promote.

For example, let’s say you are in the real estate niche.

If you are in the real estate niche on Instagram and you post 10 times a week (to keep the numbers simple), 8 posts should be some real estate tips, quotes, and other valuable content and only 2 posts should promote some deals, crowdfunding or anything else.

Got it?

Amazing. If you are going to use this strategy the right way, it is easily going to increase your sales on Instagram. Isn’t that cool?

If it is, let’s move on.

2. Add CTAs Everywhere You Can

This one is actually a pretty slam dunk but I am going to break it down for you. The last time you bought something, it was because somebody told you to do so, right?

It could be in a sales copy…

It could be in a video…

It could be in an Instagram post…

But the thing is that somebody told you to act and if they wouldn’t, you would stay in place not moving anywhere.

And the sentence you read is called call to action.

Here is an example:

“Click the link in my bio if you want to find out more about this__________today!”

Call to action like this, help you drive traffic to your sales funnel and actually make them buy.

That is the reason why you want to add them everywhere you can.

Of course, that is not a reason why you should comment under everybody’s post and DM them your call to actions. NO, DON’T DO THAT!

Sharing call to actions on the last slide of your Instagram carousels is one of the easiest ways to make more sales.

Whenever you create a piece of content this is going to make people want to buy, without making them pissed off that you promote too much.

You can use the examples above to start leveraging this astonishing Instagram content tactic.

Last Few Seconds Of A Reel

When you end a reel (or if is promotional, then throughout the whole Instagram reel) you want to add a call to action to ensure that all of the people who are going to see it will know what to do when they check it.

And with reels, it is TWICE as important.

Why?

Because reels tend to get MASSIVE exposure right now, and if you can capitalize on the momentum by using a call to action, you will make a ton of freaking sales.

How cool is that?

I always recommend cutting at least 3 seconds of the reel out to add a CTA so that it is the most effective, but it depends on you.

This one is actually really simple.

All you have to do is to add a call to action at the end of the Instagram caption. That’s it.

It can be one sentence, or it can be many sentences – but always add it. It costs you nothing except the sales you would make if you neglect it.

Adding call to actions to your highlights is extremely important. You see, most people use highlights to save their favorite stories. What great brands do is that they use highlights as sales sequences.

When you do that you are going to be able to get a ton of new customers without any extra effort. Isn’t that amazing?

If you aren’t doing it now, you have to start creating your highlight sales sequence today.

By the way, all you have to do to make it effective is to use one of the classic marketing formulas like AIDA or PAS.

3. Track The Data

What most people often neglect is tracking data.

And it is terrible. How can you become successful with your Instagram if you can’t track the data?

It is next to impossible because you are playing a “guess game.”

So, instead of neglecting it, start tracking every post, story, and change that you make.

That way you are going to be able to see what works and what does now, which means that you are going to effectively improve and make the sales that you want to make.

Bonus Tip: Build A Social Media Sales Funnel

Building a sales funnel that is going to let you convert your followers into customers once they click the link in your bio is absolutely essential.

The problem with that is that unless you are a tech guy, experienced in sales, you could never do it.
