Well, how are you going to do that?
It starts with commenting on hashtags, relevant accounts, and your follower’s posts. Commenting is the best way to increase your following and your engagement rate.
But not every comment counts as a comment. If you will comment only emoji crap like this “🔥🎺🔥” or copy/pasted comments like this, “Fantastic!”…you are not going to get some significant results.
If you want to convert people into your followers, and if you want them to engage with you, you just have to start giving them feedback.
What do I mean by that?
Instead of commenting something like this:
“🤲🤲🤲”
You want to make the comment look like this…
“Fantastic post! I really love the way you explain______. It really helped me understand and improve_______. You did an amazing job! Keep going.”
Would you rather respond or check the profile of a person that has commented the first thing or the second one?
I believe that you would definitively choose the second one.

However, commenting is maybe just 20% of the community game.

Well, collaboration can be something as simple as sharing each other’s posts in stories, creating guest posts, to going live with each other.
Usually, the more complex it is, the more people are going to follow the second person as well. That means that you can experience superb growth as well as your “competitor”.
The fourth and last thing that I recommend is to participate in Instagram lives, thank people for sharing your posts, and answer/create polls in stories.

Content
When it comes to creating your content, 80% of the time you want to create trendy content, and only 20% of the time you can create experimental content.
Creating trending content can literally skyrocket your reach, or better, you can go viral.
If that happens, you will have trouble handling all the followers and engagement that you are going to get.
That is why you want to create trending content pieces 80% of the time. It just works. The problem is…how are you going to find out what is trending?
Certain tools can help you with that. Here they are:
- Feedly (curated list of trending new)
- Google Trends (find trending topics)
- Instagram Explore Page (find viral posts)
I use these tools pretty often for my Instagram marketing, and you should too. It is a great way to make your content better.
Well, the next step is to experiment with your content 20% of the time. Why? Actually, it is pretty simple.
If you don’t test, you will never know what can be better.
You see, the whole Instagram marketing is about testing. A/B testing headlines, call to action, first sentences, visuals, etc.
You just have to test, test, and test. For example, you can experiment with your content by:
- Exploring your topic deeper
- Changing your content hooks
- Playing with your call to actions
The more you will test, test, and test the better content you are going to create. Understood?
Fine, here comes the last part of the growth circle…
Consistency
Whether you like it or not, you just have to be consistent to become successful on Instagram.
Commit yourself to do step 1/2 of the growth circle for a certain period:

If people can consume the same stuff from thousands of others, there is little to no chance that you are going to succeed. That’s the reality

“Why should I, your prospect, listen to what you have to say instead of every other option available?”

But I’m going to tell you that the answer to the question of how you can create these, is pretty simple.
You have to be authentic. Authenticity is a big part of your Instagram marketing strategy.
The moment you will stop trying to be somebody else, and you will start being yourself, something magical will happen.
You’ll be unique, people will be able to relate to you, and you can start a massive movement.
This is a tip that is around for a long, long time, but the problem is that most people still forget about it and they try to be different than they are.

I see so many people trying to beat the algorithm every day, that it is just crazy. Why are they doing it?
First off, you will never be able to beat the algorithm, all that you can do is to flow with it.
Second, if you still want to beat the algorithm, the best way to do that is to stop caring about the algorithm and start caring about PEOPLE.
You will never achieve anything significant by trying to beat the algorithm. I mean, never. The Instagram algorithm favors those who are doing everything to serve their community well. Those who make them spend more time on Instagram.
Why?
Because the more time your followers spend on Instagram, the more ad revenue they are going to make.
And the more money you help them make, the more they are going to favor you. But even after I’ve said this, it is still more about your audience for relationship purposes than for algorithm purposes.
If your content provides a lot of value, you will build better relationships with your audience, and that way you will be able to convert a lot of people into traffic and eventually into sales.
Also, the better relationships you have, the more people are going to engage with your content and follow you.
It is beneficial on every front.
You just have to stop caring about the algorithm and start caring about your audience. That’s the best way to make it happen.
