Email marketing can be a powerful tool for driving traffic and sales, but it can also be tricky to get right. Crafting compelling emails that get opened, read, and acted upon requires a winning formula.
As a seasoned email marketer, I’ve been experimenting with some email marketing strategies and have found great success.
In this article, I’ll be sharing my best email marketing strategy to take your email marketing to the next level. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to refine your strategy, you won’t want to miss these valuable insights.
So let’s dive in!
50% Of Emails Will Be Based On Storytelling

If you want your email marketing strategy to help you build a strong relationship with your dream customers, make them eager to open your emails, and also persuade them to take action, then you must utilize storytelling.
When I talk about stories, I always emphasize how powerful they are because we are conditioned to listen to them basically since we’re born.
Everybody can remember the time when they were begging their parents to tell them a story or read another chapter of a book…
Well, you can make your dream customers beg for more of your emails that will build relationships with them and persuade them to buy when you use stories as well.
And that’s why 50% of the emails you send should tell one.
Make sure the story is somehow related to the product or service that you’re selling but don’t make it about it.
You can tie it to the product or service at the end of the story but not before. That would hurt the experience your dream customers are going to get and also make you a “salesy Brad” instead of an amazing person to listen to.
When you tie the experience from the story to what you are selling at the end, it will still persuade a ton of people to take action but it won’t hurt the overall experience.
And that’s why people will love to open your emails.
However, if you want to make sales then there are times when you need to promote as well…
30% Of Emails Will Promote

Relationship building and nurturing your email list is amazing but in the end, you need to convert those hot leads into customers. And that’s why you need to promote in about 30% of emails that you send.
These can be the “fire sale” emails or normal AIDA emails that are directly promoting a product or service that you are selling.
Remember that if you want people to click, then email copywriting is key.
If the words that you tell don’t persuade your dream customers to take action, they are not going to act.
20% Direct Value Emails
In these emails, you are going to do nothing but add value to the life of your dream customers by educating them, entertaining them, or inspiring them.
No promotions, no nothing. Just pure value.
For example, if you are a boutique, you can educate people on fashion and talk about the latest trends and how they can follow them.
If you are a tailor, you can educate people on a dress code for different occasions, what suit to pick for business, for evening occasions, etc.
People will more than appreciate this value, it is going to position you as an expert in your industry, and also, it will make more people want to open your emails and buy as a result.
It works like magic, so try it out.
And that’s the entire strategy in a nutshell. I hope you found this helpful and I am going to see you in another blog post.
