The question that everybody has when starting with social media marketing is simple – “Is social media marketing hard?”
And that’s why today I’ve decided to write a kinda different blog post that’s going to show you the answer.
So, are you ready to begin? If so, let’s dive in…
Is Social Media Marketing Hard?
Let me get honest with you, it depends. First, it depends on what you think is hard, and second, it depends on what kind of hard you mean.
If you mean the amount of work you’ll have to put in every day, then you can sometimes do all of the work in a few hours.
If you mean how fast you’ll get results, then it depends again. Sometimes you can get results really fast (if you do everything right.)
Sometimes it’s going to take longer. But in both cases, you’ll have to put in the work and you’ll have to stay consistent over a long period of time.
That’s the only time social media marketing can work for you.
So, yes it is hard if you do it the wrong way. But in some cases, it can be hard even when you do it right.
That’s why I want to show you a few habits that will let you get results from your social media marketing faster and make the results way bigger.
Measure And Improve Every Day
One of the most important parts of social media marketing is high-level measurement.
If you’re not going to measure every single day, you’re never going to know what works, what doesn’t, and how to get more results.
Here are some important metrics to measure:
- Follower Growth
- Overall Reach
- Overall Engagement
- Demographics Of Your AUDIENCE
- Performance Of EVERY Post (Reach, Engagement, Conversions Into Followers, Website Taps, Etc.)
When something is not performing as it should, check the data and improve or make a change. If something is going sideways, check the data and make a change.
It’s that simple. What data says is the only thing that counts. Measure everything and improve.
Study Industry Leaders
Studying industry leaders is one of the best ways to see what’s working and what doesn’t work and get ideas for improvement.
Why just ideas? Because what works for them may not work for you.
For example, if they get thousands of likes by sharing a motivational quote…but you get less than normal engagement by sharing quotes yourself, ADIOS!
Data never lies. If something doesn’t work for you, bury it and try something else.
This is the key to being successful on every social media platform and also, the answer to the “Is social media marketing hard.” question will be no if you do it the right way.
Give, Give, Give
One of the simplest ways to be successful on any kind of platform that you use for social media marketing is to build a mindset instead of being a taker…
…to being a GIVER.
The more value you give away, the less is social media marketing going to be hard for you.
Value attracts people. Value builds relationships. Value generates sales.
So, make your content as valuable as possible and you’re going to get massive results.
