It’s super fast and simple.
Just every time you see a spammy comment made by an automation bot or some person, you can just add the iconic phrase that is similar in those comments to the custom word list and the comments will be automatically hidden the next time somebody uses the phrase.
Yes, it requires a few seconds of your time, but it is more than worth it in the long term.
But now, let’s look on another way how to protect you and your audience from Instagram scams.
Filter Spam Words In DMs
Another thing that you can do is to use the custom words and phrases to filter your DMs. That’s right! Anytime somebody messages you and it has some phrase you written down in it, the DM is going to be hidden.
And based on how many spam messages promoting some Instagram scams you get, you know how this can be useful.
Also, Instagram itself is trying to fight scams and that is why they are filtering messages that seem promotional into hidden requests.
