This has especially become true after Instagram has announced reels. But even before that, videos began to gain a lot of popularity on social media.
You can add them to tweets, posts on LinkedIn, use them in zillion ways on Instagram, Facebook, YouTube (that platform is only about videos), and the list doesn’t stop.
In fact, what’s happening is that social media platforms are prioritizing video content above other content. That’s because they entertain the end user a lot, make them stay on the platform longer, and that way they make more money.
However, if you master creating them, you are going to make a lot of money as well!
2. Quotes

There is not one social media platform where quotes are not a popular type of content. You can literally just share a simple image with a quote and on most platforms, it is going to perform.
When it comes to Twitter, you just write a tweet, and on TikTok, you make a quick video. It is that simple.
However, the quotes are only going to work if the meaning is great. If the quote is about B.S. it will fail.
But it is a great and trending type of content, especially for social media marketing, so try it out.
3. In-Platform Shopping

Another massive social media marketing trend is using in-platform shopping. I am aware that Instagram and Facebook are offering it (and I worked with it there), and perhaps even Twitter.
It is an awesome way to sell your products DIRECTLY on the platform, and get a ton of new customers by doing no work as people are using social media to shop now way more than ever before.
All that is usually required is that you sell that product or service on your own website, or that you sell it directly through the platform using their own payment gates.
It is super important.
4. Giveaways

What is becoming more and more trending, especially when you are trying to do social media marketing for your small business is doing giveaways.
Giveaways are an awesome way to spread the word about your business by word of mouth (or referrals) as it is ALWAYS one of the requirements of participation.
And it is a trend that can get you a lot of exposure when done right.
The only thing that you need to pay attention to is to make sure that the reward that you are giving away is appealing, and that you will have participants (so that you just don’t give away the reward to one person because there was only one person that has participated.)
Try doing giveaways from time to time, they might help you.
5. Engaging With Your Audience
During the old days of social media, brands could get away without being social and engaging with their audience…all they had to do is to post promotional posts and they’d get customers.
Well, that social media marketing trend is long gone and a new one has replaced it.
People on social media literally demand that brands are social and engage with them consistently.
So, if you want to have credibility, and get new customers, reply to all comments, and messages, engage people using polls, and more.
It is super important no matter the social media platform that you are on.
